Revolutionary activity

Mowlana Vasani was the Chairman of Pakistan and East Pakistan Committee. In the evening the representatives marched to Paltan for council. When they started activities a group of hooligan attached them but they had to step back in front of the pressure of NAP workers. Suddenly the 144 section was declared in Mike. Convention was closed. But there was the startup of a Political Party against the communism and dictatorship. East Pakistan Ganatantree party members, West Pakistan National and Social Party members, and all Awami Supporters joined the party. So as a result the Ganatantree Party was abolished. There was no change in the new Khulna NAP and Ganatantree Committee.

In this situation on 1958 there was Khluna Municipal Election, and from Awami League 3 and from NAP 5 was elected as Word Commissioner. Other seat was taken by Mr Sabur and Muslim League leaders. With the continuous effort of Mr Ferdous, NAP and Awami League workers with the vote of Word Commissioners, NAP chairman Adv Abdul Jabbar was elected the Municipality Chairman and Awami General Secretary Adv Mominudding Ahmed elected as Vice Chairman. But after six month when the Martial Law was declared by Ayub Khan and the Municipality Elected local government was cancelled.
With the attack of Ayub Khan the Ganatantree and Communist were shaken. Arrest warrant was issued in the name of Ferdous. When he fled away police corked all the goods of his house at Babu Khan Road.

On 1962 Ayub Khan formed constitution wise from East Pakistan 40 thousand and from West Pakistan 40 thousand Ganatantree was selected on 1964. They would select the President. All the Ayub against people formed an Alliance and selected Miss Fatema Zinnah or the President post. There was ongoing protest. In the mean time a huge rally in Khulna was attacked and the Police Station was also attacked. There was long fight between the parties. On the next early morning 40-50 person with Mr Ferdous was arrested by police and case was filed by them.

On 1965 there was India-Pakistan war and on 1966 Awami Leader Shekh Mujibor Rahman raised 6 conditions. They raised these issues as the life saving issue for Bangladeshi. On this 6 issues NAP supporters were divided. On 1967 the East Pakistan NAP was divided. With the leadership of Vice Chairman Prof. Mozaffar Ahmed, NAP (Mozaffar) was formed.

The other part chaired by Mawlana Vasani was as NAP-Vasani. The Khulna Mozaffar NAP was chaired by Mr. Ferdous, GS was M.A. Gafur, other leader were A.K. Shamsuddin Sunu, M.A. Rab, Din Mohammad, Adv Abdul Halim. NAP Vasani chairman was Adv Abdul Zabbar, other leader were Adv Razzak Ali, M. Nurul Islam, S.M.A. Jalil, Shanti Ghosh, Malik Atahar, Nazrul Islam, Nurul Islam Nannu, Gazi Shahidullah. NAP Mozaffar General Secretary was M A Gafur leaved the party and joined Awami League.

On 1968-69 when the Ayub against protest was on peak. On 1969 in the month of January/February Mr Ferdous was arrested and released after few days. On 21 February there was a huge rally against Ayub, it was on the Hazi Mohasin Road, in front of the DC Kahut, and there was a fight between the protestor and police. Then Laundry worker Hadis and young student Pradip was shot dead by police. That time Mr Ferdous entered the home of Kahit and lead the protest. Another part of the protest attached the house of Mr Sabur and there another person Cotton Mill worker Altaf was shot dead.

Very shortly the Ayub was defeated and on 1969 25 March General Iahia tool the power. On 1970, December there was National and State election. In the national election of East Pakistan from 169 seat, 167 was owned by Awami League, but failed to get any seat in West Pakistan. Pakistan National Council was lead by Awami League. But Pakistan was against it and stopped Awami League to make government. Against it there was continuous protest till 1971, 25 March. On the 25 March night Pakistan army started to kill Dhaka’s people and the local Bengali’s started freedom fight. In these days Mr Ferdous stayed in Sugandhi of Bagerhat and Chitalmari area and then moved to India. There he acted as the Fight organizer. On 16 December, Liberation he returned to Khulna and assisted Bangladesh Government.

On 1973 with the leadership of Bangladesh Prime Minister Shekh Mujibor Rahman lead Awami League, Communist Party and NAP- Mozaffar formed a three party alliance. On 1975 with the Fourth revision of Bangladesh Constitution, Shekh Mujibor Rahman formed a political party named Bangladesh Farmer- Labor Awami League- BAKSHAL and all people of NAP- Mojaffar Joined it. As a result the party abolished.

After the change of 1975 all the parties as NAP were reorganized. On 1976, 17 November Mowlana Vasani died and President Ziaur Rahman formed BNP on 1st September 1978. NAP Vasani mostly joined the party. So the NAP as abolished and NAP-Mozaffar was very low. After death of Mr Ferdous were the Khulna District Chairman and Central Committee Vice Chairman. On the duration 1982-90 there was Ershad against alliance of NAP Mozaffar and Awami League and took initiative to bring back democracy. In the mean time Mr Ferdous was active as the Pakistan period.
Abu Ahmed Ferdous was the candidate of NAP Mozaffar on 1970 for East Pakistan State Council and on 1973 defeated in national election. Being the follower of Moscow, he was fan of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. Even he was supporter of Nepal and Indian Mowist armed revolution.
